Can you be gay in inzoi

If you've felt like your society of Zois is oddly lacking in queer voice, you’re not imagining it. It’s real—and Inzoi Studio has now officially recognized that, yep, gay Zois simply don’t spawn in the wild.

No surprise the topic came up, since inZOI Hits Early Access with Strong Player Numbers and Positive Feedback on Steam — after such a successful public launch, it was only a matter of time before modern-day issues caught up.

While Inzoi technically allows you to create gay characters manually by tweaking their romantic preferences in the character creator, that queerness doesn’t exist naturally in the game's world. The pre-made NPCs—the ones you meet at the coffee shop, run into at events, or flirt with in the park—are hardwired to be straight. That means no gay digital dating, no spontaneous same-sex crushes, and no cozy gay domestic drama unless you do some setup operate yourself.

The issue was flagged pretty quickly by players, many of whom expected a life sim in 2025 to include, you know, life.

InZOI launched at the end of March in early access. As an early access game with several big updates planned, InZOI launched in a state that was fairly empty and missing key features that would donate it more depth and immersion.

Hello, during these new updates that fix a lot of things, aren't they going to fix the bug where there are no NPCs that can have same-sex relationships in the city? For me, as an LGBT person, I'm really upset with how little attention the team has paid to the community regarding this. There are always updates and nothing about fixing the gay Zoi challenge. And this bug just doesn't seem like something that's too difficult to fix... the updates we've received have fixed much more complex problems.

But that's okay, I'll contain to wait, I'm unhappy because I can't like the game properly. I'll only be able to play after they mend this. And I recognize that for now we can marry Zois of the same sex that we create ourselves, but the fun of the game, at least for me and part of the audience, is creating a Zoi and exploring relationships by meeting NPCs in the world, not creating two Zois and making them marry.

I kind of have no choice but to linger. But I'm afraid that this fix will never come, you know? And it's important to me, and to the LGBT audience in general, to have the same gameplay as straight people or it do

Can we gay in the game? Impossible to date?

So I was researching the game before purchase and found several threads on reddit where people were complaining that all zoi townies NPCs are straight and they don't even try to lean gay after the player's character tries to romance with them. And there's no way to change their settings

So, valued people:
Are NPC Zois hardcoded str8?
Can the NPC settings be changed?
Are there cheats to change their characteristics/ preferences?

I like starting with 1 character and building relationships with random townies in "the other existence simulation game" but seems to be impossible in InZoi... :(
