Barbra Streisand’s Son Jason Gould Talks New Album & Dating With a Homosexual Icon For a Mother
Jason Gould, the son of recording legend Barbra Streisand and actor Elliott Gould, is gearing up to discharge his first full length album, Dangerous Man, out today (Dec. 15). The album follows his self-titled five-track release from 2012.
A mix of covers and original material, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree; Gould is a crooner through and through. Ahead of his album release, Gould spoke to Billboard about touring with his famous mother, how Alcoholics Anonymous sessions inspired his album’s title track and what it’s prefer dating as the son of a gay representative.

Jason Gould, 57
Jason Gould, born December 29, 1966, is Barbra's only child with her first husband, Elliott Gould. Jason started off his career in acting, appearing alongside his parents on a couple occasions and even appearing in theater productions in the tardy '90s.
He has since embarked on a career as a composer, performing and duetting with his mom on several occasions and last releasing singles as recently as this past May.

"Scrooge&Marley," is a modern adaptation of Charles Dickens's holiday classic, "A Christmas Carol," due to hit theaters later this month. While the plot remains the same, this version retells the story with a "gay sensibility" that "will appeal to audiences of all persuasions." The production stars openly gay player David Pevsner as Ben Scrooge and "Saturday Overnight Live" alum Tim Kazurinsky as the ghost of Jacob Marley.
And those aren't the only LGBT-friendly parts of the production. Jason Gould, openly same-sex attracted son of Barbra Streisand, performs the film's theme and special end credit song, "Amazing."

Gould recently shared the stage with his mother on her much-celebrated "Barbra: Back to Brooklyn" concert, singing "How Deep Is The Ocean?" in the newly built Barclays Center.
"Amazing" will be featured on the film's soundtrack and can be purchased on iTunes later this month.

Barbra Streisand, 81, has left an memorable mark on the harmony industry with her grand talent. The singer is set to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2024 SAG Awards, which will premiere on Netflix on February 24, but her career is not the only thing she has to be proud of. She is also a doting mother to her only hereditary child, son Jason Gould, 57, whom she shares with her ex-husband Elliott Gould.
Despite having a very famous mother, Jason prefers to keep a shallow profile. “I sort of like being out of the spotlight,” he told PEOPLE in 2017. He’s still experienced some hour in the spotlight when he was introduced to the entertainment industry at a young age.
