A Guide to LGBTQ+-Affirming Take care and Resources in Houston
Pride Month is officially here, and there are plenty of ways to dwell out loud every evening, in June and beyond. Whether you want to don your rainbow top and attend the numerous Pride celebrations going on around Houston, or get it easy this year and simply donate to one of the many LGBTQ+-centered community care organizations, thereβs no wrong way to celebrate queerness. Just like thereβs no untrue way to be queer.
The biggest Pride Month event happening in the municipality, this year and every year, is the annual Pride Houston 365. Hundreds of thousands of people descend on downtown for a truly massive festival and parade, the first of which was held way back in 1978. The festivities kick off on June 28 with the Houston LGBT+ Identity festival Celebration Festival at Houston City Hall (901 Bagby) from 11am to 6pm, followed by the famously lively parade at 7pm.
The events can be a bit overwhelming for first-timers, so weβve put together a guide to facilitate you know exactly what to expect, what to wear, and what to bring. Read below for our top tips.

2025 Pride Houston 365 march lights up downtown, celebrating love, unity, and resilience
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Celebration Houston 365 added another chapter to its legacy with the 47th annual parade in downtown Houston.
The celebration is known to draw thousands all in the name of noticing love and unity, and this year was no different.
The organization said that while it's still finalizing numbers, early estimates position attendance at over 200,000 people.
On Saturday, the celebration once again started neighboring City Hall and moved through the area with a colorful display of floats, performers, and people groups.
ABC13, the official media partner of Pride Houston 365, also joined the festivities with a contingent of walkers along the route.
Considered one of the largest Pride events in the South, the celebration is far from the only way the LGBTQIA+ community and allies celebrate.
Events surrounding the parade usually include a festival, which focuses on providing people resources, plus a fashion show and reception.
This year, nine grand marshals were called to lead the charge as Pride Houston continued its mission of celebrating strength, resilience, diversity and freedoms
