Since I moved to Cleveland almost three years ago, I had made a decision to change things in my life. To start doing things that I may have been more afraid to, before. To work on my body image positivity and feelings of self-worth. And also, to work on being more present in the LGBTQ community at large. My blog was the beginning of the working on being more present, it is a way to share my experiences and views. It has gotten me the opportunity of writing an article about a novel bar in Willoughby, OH for Prizm magazine. My blog has also been an outlet for active on my body positivity. And the trying/doing novel things has come in many forms. Meeting modern people that expose me to things I haven’t thought about or too afraid of doing. Going places to the competent to share them on my blog has also helped.
Most recently I had the chance to accomplish something I have never done but wanted to do. Never did it out of personalized worry of the place and situation and for apprehension of how I would be judged. Roseland is a gay owned and operated gay campground and resort that caters to gay men 21+. On the grounds clothing is optional. Our 8th annual Leave Gathering is built for incredible memories. This year we have joined forces with OutCamping's annual Fab Fest. You'll never forget the Fireworks Dance Party on Saturday night; and three delicious catered meals including a continental breakfast with fresh coffee, a mouth watering riverside lunch barbecue and an eye-popping fully catered dinner reception starting with appetizers. Unfortunately, due to cost-prohibitive permits, this is now BYOB. Lots of fresh ice and Styrofoam coolers will be available for purchase at the festival. We'll expend the weekend camping along the Shenandoah River on a private farm 10 miles south of Front Royal, Virginia, with tubing, swimming, sunbathing, fishing and canoeing right outside your tent door. If you don't live nearby create this a mini-vacation and take the extra period to hike in Shenandoah National Park, drive the scenic 105-mile Skyline Drive, attend civil war sites and explore Washington, DC.
