When we last left the Outliers in Uncanny X-Men #14, each new mutant was forced to seize a right-of-passage test administered by Man-Thing in the underground tomb called the Artery in the swamps near Haven House. The test involved keeping their fear in check, declaring their identity, and explaining their powers. All Outliers eventually passed, which allowed them entrance to the inner tomb where a stony Lady Henrietta awaits.

Plot Synopsis

In Uncanny X-Men #15, we learn the right purpose of the Artery as a cemetery for mutates whose remains can rest undisturbed by hateful humans. Beneath the Artery lies a city of the dead called the Penumbra. A dark thing from the stars named Shuvahrak rules over the Penumbra as a type of Purgatory reserved for humans who killed their mutate loved ones. Now, Shuvahrak calls the Outliers so the uncanny x men 2022

Uncanny X-Men #15 Preview:WHO WILL BE THE VOICE OF DARKNESS? With one immature mutant taken hostage in the underworld of the DARK ARTERY, it’s left to the remaining Outliers to lead the UNCANNY X-MEN to try to steal them back…but the ultimate terror blocks the way. THE VOICE OF DARKNESS seeks a modern home, and violence and fear will follow whoever takes that mantle!

Uncanny X-Men #4, by Marvel Comics on 10/16/24, pits Rogue against the Hag, Sarah Gaunt, to stop her from capturing the new recruits in the name of some twisted agenda.

Is Uncanny X-Men #4 Good?

The longer this series runs, the odder it becomes. Scribe Gail Simone uses Uncanny X-Men #4 as an action showcase to reveal just how formidable the Hag can be, but weird little oddities save popping up that scan as if details were missed, and obvious courses of action are ignored. By the end, the best I could speak is that I&#;m uncertain about the course of this title.

When last we left Rogue and her new group of juvenile mutants in Uncanny X-Men #3, she puts the &#;recruits&#; through their paces in a makeshift Hazard Room built by Wolverine as a parting offering before he left to tame his wild side in the woods surrounding New Orleans. The contest gave readers some insights into the mutants. The issue ended with Wolverine encountering the Hag in the woods.
